Stephanie earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University and Masters of Social Work from Michigan State University. Her clinical experiences have afforded her the opportunities to utilize her excellent communication skills, welcoming personality, and cultural competence in order to quickly build rapport and assist diverse client populations. She is a Nationally Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TFCBT).
Stephanie has a passion for working with children, youth, and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as with young adults with Adverse Childhood Experiences. Additionally, she also works with high performing adolescents, whether that be academia, athletics, other specialized skills, and or a combination. Other diagnoses Stephanie works with include Anxiety, Depression, Adjustments, other Mood Disorders, and ADHD, among others.
Stephanie has experience working with the homeless and addicted in Atlanta, the sexually deviant in Memphis, the parentless and grieving in Africa, and in the juvenile justice system in Saginaw. She is confident in her assessment and treatment planning skills as well as her ability to support clients throughout the duration of their programming. Candace Novak, Clinical Intern
Candace earned her Bachelors in Exercise Science from Oakland University and is working towards earning her masters of social work from Oakland University. Candace has a passion for working with young children and helping maintain and build new skills sets with them. She has experience working in the ABA field as a behavior technician with children two-eighteen years of age. Candace also has experience working with children and families as a wraparound facilitator through Oakland Family Services.
Candace can play four instruments, guitar, piano, alto saxophone and the ukulele! She also enjoys playing video games, nature hikes, and spending time with her family and her two dogs!
Marissa Rogers, Clinical Intern
Marissa is currently an intern at Epoch Expressions, where she is passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming environment for individuals seeking to improve their mental wellness. She earned her undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Human Development from Western Michigan University, with a minor in Music. Marissa has previously interned with a social worker in a local police department, and she has also served as her own advocate through Turning Point, an experience that strengthened her resilience and deepened her commitment to supporting others. She is eager to gain further hands-on experience in therapeutic practices, focusing on how lived experiences impact day-to-day functioning and relationships. She values the opportunity to grow alongside the team at Epoch Expressions and looks forward to building a career dedicated to advocacy and empowerment.
Outside of her professional interests, Marissa adores her cats (who she considers her children), enjoys playing her Nintendo Switch, and finds coloring to be a fun and relaxing outlet for creativity. She also has a deep love for the ocean and feels most at peace near the water.

Apollo is a Certified Therapy Dog through Dog Training Elite and an all around good boi! Apollo is a five year old Cane Corso/Pitbull Mix, but don't let that deter you.
